The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro is a hip cafe and restaurant on Great George Street located near St. Dunstan’s Basilica Cathedral and close to Victoria Row.
This was one of the very first Charlottetown coffee shops that I stopped by on my maiden trip to the city. The Gallery is perfect for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. They are also one of the spots that open early in the morning.
The Gallery offers a variety of organic coffees, teas, breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, and more. They have a generous indoor and outdoor seating space.
Your fur baby can also enjoy it here, and there is live music and performances on certain days!
Whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or something more substantial, The Gallery Coffee House has plenty of options to satisfy your craving.

Leonhard’s Cafe and Restaurant
Leonhard’s Cafe and Restaurant is a family-owned place located in the heart of Charlottetown. This is one of the MOST popular breakfast spots in the city, and you will usually find a line-up in the morning.
The cafe has a cozy atmosphere and serves up delicious roasted coffee drinks. They also offer homemade sandwiches, soups, and salads.
Their perfectly brewed cuppa joe is from Down East Coffee, a privately owned coffee company from New Brunswick.
And all meals served at Leonhard’s are prepared fresh every day with locally sourced ingredients, that are free from preservatives.
Leonard’s also offers gluten-free menu items.
I visit Leonard’s Cafe often when in town, and it is worth the wait for their tasty omelets and lattes! Bavarian breakfast and their Breakfast Bagels are my absolute favorite!
They only have indoor seating, and it is limited.

Receiver Coffee – Victoria Row
Receiver Coffee has multiple locations throughout Charlottetown, but we will highlight the one situated on Victoria Row. This is a great spot to grab a quick cup of coffee or to sit down and relax with friends.
They serve classic espresso drinks, tea, smoothies, sandwiches, and more.
At Victoria Row, you will find a two-level, brick-lined cafe that is super cute and has a cozy ambiance. They also have seating areas outside.
This is a popular spot as you can unwind after a day of sightseeing in the city with a nice cup of joe!
Due to the spacious indoor seating, you can also sit down with your laptop or a book.
During my trip I had an amazing breakfast bowl and oh my god it was delicious!

The Kettle Black
Located on Queen Street, The Kettle Black is a bright and airy café that offers delicious coffee, specialty drinks, and a variety of light lunch dishes and snacks including samosas!
Their lattes are amazing and are my absolute favorite.
The cafe interiors are quite spacious and you can sit down with your laptop, or planner. Most indoor seating spots also have charging ports for you to use. They also offer plenty of outdoor seating for enjoying your cup of joe in the sunshine.
The hosts and servers were super nice as well!

Alambé Coffee
Located on Kent Street, Alambe Coffee House is a cozy cafe that specializes in craft coffee and tasty baked goods.
They specialize in Vietnamese coffee and you must give it a try if you have never tasted any.
Prior to my trip, I was reading online review articles and Alambe Coffee repeatedly ranked in the top 3. When I asked many locals, they also agreed Alambe Coffee is delicious.
Alambe Coffee has generous indoor spaces for you to hang out with your laptop, tablet, or notebook to get some work done.
During my visit, I met the owner of the cafe, and he is super sweet and helpful. Do stop by here when you travel to Charlottetown next. You can also buy packaged beans and bring them home.

Casa Mia Downtown
This cozy cafe on Queen Street offers a range of specialty coffees and teas, baked goods, breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and more. They are also known for its artisanal ice cream.
They have a nice outdoor seating area, which is perfect to take in the downtown Charlottetown vibes and enjoy a cuppa latte and breakfast. I tried their potato cakes and they were quite filling!
Whether you’re looking for a place to meet up with friends or to relax while enjoying a hot cup of coffee, Casa Mia Downtown is the perfect spot.

Linda’s Coffee Shop and Restaurant
The vintage-looking sign of Linda’s Coffee Shop can be seen as you make your way to the Charlottetown Harbour or the Yacht Club.

Timothy’s World Coffee
Enjoy everything from traditional espresso drinks to specialty lattes with unique flavors at Timothy’s World Coffee.
Although there are lots of seating tables inside, and they serve great coffee, the interiors lack the oomph that the other coffee houses ooze.
I enjoyed my grab-and-go drinks including Italian sodas from here!
